Parking Lots Open only 3 Hours Before Kickoff?

Policy and the impact on tailgating

The official release is listed at the bottom of this post. One of the greatest things about last season (since we fell apart and missed the playoffs) was the union of a number of partner message boards and circles of friends under a common banner of tailgating. BucArino, King of all things tailgating, locked down the corner of Lot 14

For our crew, this means we have less time for tailgating if memory serves. With a 1:00 PM Kickoff, my Polk County math tells me we will be able to get into position no earlier than 10:00 AM. My recollection is that we used to get in at 9:00 AM. My guess is that this is an attempt to limit cost for parking and security on the side of the organization. We will be doing a few dry-runs of tailgating this preseason. Red75 will be hammering out some GREAT food, but remember, this is a family affair. By that we mean bring some food/drink to share and everything will be great! If you have a tent, chairs, cornhole set, bring it along! We will be getting there as early as possible to get that corner.

93.3 FLZ and Eric the RV Guy historically hole up in the same spot. If you get there, start staking out our territory. Get tents up and seats out and we will make sure to have a GREAT time!

BucArino moved to South Florida for some crap like a job, but his heart is still with us as a full season of tailgating is planned.

As was the case last year, The WTB? team will be defending the coveted WTB? Cornhole Championship Belt during the regular season. The Doc has talked about starting a Beer Pong tourney as well, but I was not really listening. Official data about the timing is below. If you guys recall last year with more accuracy than I do and I am full of crap, please let me know. Until then, see you Thursday night in Lot 14!
