Hi folks! We are prepping for tomorrow’s excitement but I wanted to convey a couple of things to everyone. First, our Grillmaster, “Pitmaster Pat” has had a very serious situation occur with his eye(s). He is currently receiving treatment and we are asking everyone out there to send prayers, positive vibes or whatever is in line with your particular metaphysical position to Pat and his family. He is a good man with a great family and is family to us. His health and well being are the most important thing that we are facing right now so I figured crowd-sourcing some positive energy never hurts.
For the tailgate, this leaves us down our stud Pitmaster so the team has rallied. We expect a large crowd and a heavily Giants focused crowd. Our team has stepped up to provide authentic Tampa Cubans, Pizza, Wings, Burgers and dogs from Steakhouse Elite (@SteakhouseElite) as well as Buffalo wings from Winghouse (@Winghouse) in addition to a great array of sides. We will still be serving drinks, having fun and getting excited for what we hope will be another home victory for the good guys but please do keep our man Pat in mind!
You all know we work on donations and this month the proceeds will be going toward Movember. We are also collecting unwrapped toys this month so please do bring whatever you can but most of all, bring a great attitude! RSVP on the Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/events/866548143434744/
A sad side note is that this year, donations have been very down this season. Interestingly, crowd sizes have been about the same. These events cost about $1,000.00 to execute (variable) and while some sponsorship offsets costs, a party like ours is not cheap. We do it because we love it and we want to raise funds for the charities we support. We believe that a $20.00 donation is fair even if only for the bar so please do keep in mind this is not a corporate event and we are not making money on it. We donate our labor and time to do batter via our charitable arm and need your help to do so. If the donations continue to drop we will have to make significant changes in the tailgate and I do not think anyone wants to see that!
