Monday and Friday, from 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM (Yea, I know many of you are just getting in at those hours, but hit an extra Red Bull and stay up dammit!), OldSchool will be guest hosting for the Hooters Nation Morning SHow on CBS Sportsradio, 1010AM in the local Tampa market. If you are unable to tune in, try form your computer at 1010Sportsonline.com and be part of the action as some of the WTB? attitude is brought to terrestrial airwaves.
Topics for coverage will range form the inane (ok, so maybe that is the baseline) to the topical. Some discussion will be had around the Buccaneers and how some people can claim that Donald Penn does not deserve to get paid, especially in light of the depth chart behind him. This section will no doubt drift into the “Anti-Fatguy” sentiment that is so common which, despite roots in logic, should be disregarded for Donald Penn.
What would a morning be without a discussion about World Cup and how little the US will now care about the World’s favorite sport since our team could not get by Ghana (again)?
And while OldSchool dislikes (intensely) baseball, the Rays are making headlines (and not for the reason that they want) which I am sure will be an area for caller interaction.
So tune in tomorrow and Friday (and the other days too, I am sure Mike and the crew will appreciate it!). For those of you wondering, we have noticed that the guest spots have been strategically placed on days when Lynne Austin is not scheduled to be in studio.
